We live in a world that rejects discipline and correction. If a parent disciplines his child then he is arrested for felony child abuse and battery. A child cannot grow up without discipline and that is why God disciplines His children and He disciplines them severely because He wants to correct them.
It sometimes takes severe discipline for a child to change his ways and God knows how to deal with His children. We read in Hebrews 12:5-10 "Have you forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons, MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM; 6 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES. 7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 For if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness."
If you want to have eternal life and be a child of God, you must submit yourself to the discipline of God and He will get you right. He will discipline you until your behavior is changed so that you can be holy. Many believers never stop sinning, they never change their ways. They will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven because they do not SUBMIT themselves to the discipline of the Father.
In olden days the shepherds had a special way to treat a runaway sheep, one that always strayed. They would take him and break his leg and then they would fix up his leg but by the time that that leg grew back on, then that sheep would have learned not to stray because while his leg was healing he could not run away. If you accept Jesus as your Lord and God as your Father, He will discipline you and He might just break your leg because He cares for you. Many believers have "broken legs," many of them are being disciplined by God and they do not understand it. Many of them reject the discipline of God. Instead of going on their knees and say "Father what are You telling me? Why is everything in my life going wrong? They go to the doctors, they go to other people for help and they don't learn, they don't realize that God is disciplining them for their unholiness, for their disobedience. If you want to be a child of God, call yourself a Christian, God will discipline you. If you do not mend your ways, you will end up in hell but God is a good Father and He treats His own children severely because He disciplines them for their own good so that they can share in His holiness. Maybe God's Hand of discipline and chastisement is on you, dear friend and you have failed to see it all along. Get on your knees, submit yourself to the Father, accept His discipline and He will change you into an obedient child.

After a simple 20 minute Bible study, Anna believed the word of the Lord and repented of her sins. I prayed for her and she received the gift of the Holy Ghost just like they did on the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts. Then I baptized her straight way in Jesus Christ name.. This might be weird and foreign to the majority of church-going folks because this is not preached for the most part in American churches. Praise God it is all scriptural and not up for debate !!!!

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Should a Christian resist when they are treated unfairly? What should we do? Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Master and He is our King. And if we serve Him and we are part of His Kingdom then we do exactly as He told us to do because He is the King.

We read what Jesus said about resistance in Matthew 5:39-41 Jesus said: "But I say to you, DO NOT RESIST AN EVIL PERSON; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 "If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. 41 "Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two." That is what Jesus said He said we must not resist an evil man and Jesus never resisted evil either. We belong to Christ we do not belong to ourselves anymore. What do we want to resist against? We are not part of this world this is not our Kingdom the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to Christ. I don't belong to myself anymore, I belong to Jesus Christ. I am a bond slave to Christ and I am called to obedience to Him to do His very will. I am not to protect myself. He will revenge He will look after me if He wants to. If somebody takes something of me so what, I belong to Christ. What I must do is OBEY JESUS CHRIST if He is my LORD? If I take it on myself to defend myself then I am REBELLIOUS, I must OBEY CHRIST. See what Jesus said about when people insult and persecute us. We read in Matthew 5:11-12 "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12"Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Hallelujah thank God that I can be persecuted for Jesus Christ. Many Christians are persecuted because they are LOOKING FOR TROUBLE and because they are DISOBEDIENT TO CHRIST. A REBELIOUS man will not go into heaven. It was because of rebellion that satan was cast out of heaven. And if we are disobedient to Christ we are rebellious to Him and we will not enter His Kingdom. If we as Christians feel that we have to vindicate ourselves we need to REPENT because then we are not doing the will of the Master. The commandments of Jesus the sermon on the mount are not an option they are not a nice to have they are a INSTRUCTION for a disciple of Christ. He said why do you call Me, Lord, Lord and you do not do what I say. It is easy to avenge your self to put the fist out it is easy to say we got a right I am not going to be pushed around we got rights. We got no rights people. If we are nailed to the cross and we pick up our cross every morning every day, deny ourselves and follow Christ we obey Him. We do not vindicate ourselves and that is how we show that we are disciples of Christ it is if we obey His commandments. He said that if you love Me, you will keep My commandments and that is tuff and that is how we demonstrate our love to Christ.

We as Christians do not resist we obey Jesus Christ. He never spoke back right until they hung Him on a cross, until He died He did the will of the Father. We as His children as His followers as disciples of Christ are called to obey Jesus Christ and do what He told us to do. Then we shall be children of the Most High God.

As children of God we are called to be holy men and women, saints. We are not of this world. We are of the Kingdom of God and that must be reflected in everything that we do and also in what we say, our vocabulary. We cannot talk like the world talks, we must be holy in every respect, in every word that we speak, as Paul also wrote in Ephesians 4:29: "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear. " Friends, as children of God we must be very careful what we say.
We are called to be saints, we are not of this world. We cannot be conformed to this world and carry on with joking and coarse jesting, doing what other people in this world are doing. With modern technology people have got these acronyms that they use in their messaging and much of that is unholiness, (OMG etc.) We cannot participate in the jokes of the world and as children of God our vocabulary must be sanctified.
I read Ephesians 5:3-6 Paul says: "But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed EVEN BE NAMED AMONG you, as is proper among saints; and THERE MUST BE NO FILTHINESS NO SILLY TALK, OR COARSE JESTING, WHICH ARE NOT FITTING, but rather give thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for BECAUSE OF THESE THINGS THE WRATH OF GOD COMES UPON THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE." Dear friends, our words are extremely important because our words reflect what is inside of us. If we are a child of God, then we will speak what is inside as Jesus also said (Matthew 12:34) "For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure brings forth what is evil. "And I say to you THAT EVERY CARELESS WORD THAT MAN SHALL SPEAK, THEY SHALL RENDER ACCOUNT FOR IT IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT. "FOR BY YOUR WORDS YOU SHALL BE JUSTIFIED, AND BY YOUR WORDS YOU SHALL BE CONDEMNED."
Our words are important, dear friend, we will be judged by our words. As a child of God our words must reflect that Jesus Christ is inside and that we are of the Kingdom of God.

To worry is destructive, counter productive and can lead to disaster. Worrying does not solve anything That is why Jesus commanded us not to worry about our life. The unbelievers, including unbelieving Christians, are destroyed through worrying.
The storms of life will come against all of us, but if we do not act on the words of Jesus, we will be like a man who built his house on the sand, the storm will come against that house and destroy it because it has no firm foundation. We can make our best plans, and do all we know to prevent disaster, hardship and loss, but only Jesus can save, deliver and heal us.
We have to put our trust in Jesus, and therefor we must OBEY Him, to experience His protection, deliverance and provision. The moment that you start worrying, satan has disarmed you and you are at his mercy to steal from you, rob you and destroy you.
When people get a pain, they often run straight to the doctor, which will cost them money. The doctor might send them for tests and scans, which cost even more money. They trust the doctor for a diagnoses, which is often wrong, which leads to further actions, treatments, surgeries. Do not trust them to go for the cheapest remedy. As long as you can pay, or generate funds to pay, they will do anything to treat you, often unnecessary. If you die in the process, they will not lose, they will get their money from your estate and your loved ones who are left behind, will be impoverished. Certainly, there are good doctors, but most people are selfish and only care for themselves. In any business a customer who can pay is a potential to make money. Doctors and hospitals have bills to pay. They will gladly take your money. Your sickness will be paying for it. If you put your trust in man, you will be destroyed. It is written:” This is what the LORD says:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind,
who makes the flesh his strength
and turns his heart from the LORD.
6He will be like a shrub in the desert;
he will not see when prosperity comes.
He will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.” Jeremiah 17:5,6.
Jesus said: “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30“But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ 32“For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.      34“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:25-34.
What should the believer do? When the storm comes, DO NOT WORRY. Trust in Jesus. Run to Jesus. Ask His guidance, seek His will, seek His help. Pray, wait on Him. Refuse to worry. Praise Jesus, while you wait on Him. Keep your focus on Jesus. Jesus is greater than everything. He can and will answer our prayer.

The reason why we do not HEAR Jesus and we do not experience Him in our lives, the reason why Jesus is not REAL to us is because most of us are just busy with ourselves. We are busy with our own things. We are not focused on Jesus.
Jesus said those who are pure in heart, they will see God. If we draw closer to Him, He will draw closer to us. If we seek Him, we find Him. It reminds me of and old song that says:"Turn your eyes upon Jesus."

Look (G)full in His wonderful (A)face
And the (D)things of the earth
will grow (G)strangely dim
In the (D)light of His (A)glory and (D)grace.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

You don't need to anything to end up in eternal damnation. The whole world is already judged and condemned because of sin, because all have sinned and they come short of the glory of God. But Jesus Christ can remove the guilt of your sin and give you eternal life IF you repent and ACCEPT Him as your LORD and MASTER and to OBEY and SERVE Him for the rest of your life. Then you become part of His kingdom. If you reject Jesus Christ YOU WILL PERISH.
You need to GO AFTER Him, you need to OBEY Him, you need to SERVE Him as LORD. Jesus said:"Whoever WISHES to come after Me MUST deny himself, pick up his cross every day and come here FOLLOW ME."
Very few people will be saved. They asked Jesus whether those who are being saved are few and He said to them:"Straight is the gate and narrow is the door that leads to life and FEW there be that find it. Strive HARD to enter the narrow door. You don't need to do anything to end up in hell but you need to STRIVE HARD, you need to GO AFTER Jesus every day, you need to OBEY Him, you need to LIVE HOLY and RIGHTEOUSLY, you need to live in close relationship with Jesus Christ EVERY DAY if you want eternal life. If you turn away from Him YOU ARE DOOMED, you are LOST!
It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to look after YOUR SALVATION. YOU have to work out your salvation with fear and trembling UNTIL the very very end. Your salvation is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. It depends on YOUR relationship with Jesus, whether YOU follow Him and serve Him as Lord and Master. Jesus Christ will say to many who believed that they were saved:"Go away, I never knew you, you workers of wickedness," because those people did not follow after Jesus. They did not LISTEN to Him, they did not OBEY HIS WORDS. They were workers of wickedness. You need to follow Jesus EVERY DAY until the very end or else YOU WILL PERISH.

God is good to all His children. When we accept Jesus Christ and are born again we become children of God, and God takes care of us. He teaches us His ways and one of the ways in which He teaches us His ways is through His discipline. He often uses suffering to teach us His ways.
The purpose of suffering is to test us to see what is in our heart. Are we serious about Jesus? Are we serious about obeying Him, following Him and living according to His words. He also uses suffering to humble us and to give us understanding. God used suffering to test Job, and when he was in his distress his wife said to him:"Why don't you curse God and die." Job never sinned against God and proved that he was faithful and true to God. God used suffering to discipline the children of Israel. We read in Deuteronomy 8:3 "He humbled you and let you be hungry and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor that your fathers know that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
We often become arrogant because we do not understand that it is the hand of God that supports us, and that keeps us alive. It is good that we develop ourselves, that we work hard, but when we become proud and arrogant and we think that it is by our own power that we are gaining wealth and that things are going well with us, then God often closes all the doors. All our plans fall to pieces. In spite of our talent, our experience, our education, things don't work out. We might lose our job, our business might fall to pieces and then we realize that even with our best effort we are not able to contain everything. We are not able to live our lives the way that we wish, because without God we can do nothing, without Jesus we can do nothing.
The medical profession has its place and medicine has its place but when God puts a sickness on you where medication cannot take the pain away, the doctor cannot help, then you realize that there is a Power that is greater than all of this, and this is what God does with His children. Many of them are going through suffering and they do not understand why. They are children of God, they are serious about God, but they are in suffering. their lives are falling to pieces, but they do not understand that they are being tested. Am I faithful to Jesus? Do I really trust Him, or do I trust in myself more than Him? Is Jesus my Healer or do I trust more in medication and in the doctor? Do I have other idols? God is testing me. We become so proud, we think that we can control our destiny, that we can make our lives, we can build our own fortunes, and then God destroys our plans everything falls to pieces. How do we react? Do we curse God? Do we go against God, or do we see His hand in this? Do we humble ourselves before Him and say:"Lord, Thy will be done."? Because all His ways are loving kindness. He cares for us and He will never leave us. He will never forsake us and therefore He often uses these severe methods, severe suffering to bring us to our senses, to test us, to try us, to humble us, to give us understanding, that life comes from Him.
All good things come from Him. Without Jesus we can do nothing. How do we react to suffering? How do we react to the test, to the discipline that He puts us through? Do we become hateful and resentful toward God and show what is in our heart that we are not serious about Him that we are selfish and arrogant? Or do we humble ourselves and say:"Lord teach me Thy ways." Do we become humble before Him and do we gain understanding? It is the will of God that we learn understanding, that we learn that man will not live from bread alone, that man will not live from his own endeavors alone. If the Lord does not build the house it is in vain that those build it work on it. If the Lord does not guard the city in vain does the guardman watch because, God keeps us safe. It is Jesus that determines our life and we need to learn to understand that is the discipline that God is putting on us, the suffering that He is putting us through, is it teaching us wisdom? Are we being proven to truly love Him and trust Him? Are we allowing ourselves to be humbled by Him and are we learning to trust in Him in all situations so that we can know that without Him we can do nothing, but nothing is impossible with Jesus Christ. He can do all things. Let us submit ourselves to the Master let us listen to Him when He speaks to us. Let us accept His discipline and learn from Him. Let us gain understanding and allow Him to change us and to mold us into His likeness so that we can fit into the kingdom of God. He we started the good work in us will complete it if we stay with Him, if we submit to Him and allow Him to form us and to make us so that we can be to His glory.
